In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Europe demonstrated varied performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced fluctuations in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Telegram saw its weekly downloads peak at approximately 1.07M in late December, while its revenue reached around $380K in the same week. Despite a slight decline in active users, the app maintained a robust user base, ending the quarter with about 185M weekly active users.

Snapchat experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 870K in late December. Its revenue also showed a positive trend, reaching up to $305K mid-December. Active users fluctuated slightly, closing the quarter with nearly 50M.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out saw a steady increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, with a peak of 260K in the final week. Revenue peaked at $270K around the same time, while active users saw a decrease, settling at about 19.4M.

Azar: Video Chat, Meet Friends had a significant rise in downloads, reaching 133K in the last week of December. Revenue remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, peaking at $208K at the start. Active users increased significantly, ending with approximately 674K.

GMX - Mail & Cloud showed a consistent download rate, with a peak of 31K in mid-November. Its revenue saw a slight increase, reaching $63K in late November, and active users remained steady, closing the quarter with about 4.8M.
